This is an old project from 2001 I hope to go back after my present project is completed. It will be even better with a decade's worth of perspective to include. Does the image of America continue to evolve or does it exist as a constant. In what ways does it matter in this new century.

During the World Trade Center Attack I was in London .My conversations with members of the international community in the aftermath gave me a desire to clarify for myselfand to share with others the view of America from a distance. These Interviews are with international journalists from the US, India, France, Palestine, Anti-Globalist activists, common people from Congo, Germany, Great Britain, Pakistan and other places present a contemporary view of how the world sees 21st century America. Interviews were conducted in Paris by Floyd Webb and Nanaho Sawano with the assistance of Sputnik Kilambi and Olivier Landau, Production 108 Paris. From A Distance is a one hour documentary work in progress that will examine the image of America from a global perspective that will encompass cultural, political and economic relationships.
